Job Details

As a Cosmos DB Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, performance, security, and scalability of Cosmos DB databases. This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, data modeling, and Azure services. Professional & Technical Skills: Cosmos DB, Design and implement Cosmos DB databases, including selecting appropriate data models (document, key-value, graph, etc.) based on application requirements. Define and configure consistency models, partitioning strategies, and indexing schemes for optimal performance. - Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, slow queries, and resource constraints. Implement and fine-tune indexing, query optimization, and caching strategies to improve database responsiveness. -Implement security measures to safeguard data, including encryption at rest and in transit, access control, and authentication mechanisms. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and company data governance policies. -Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity. Perform regular backups, replication, and failover testing to ensure data recoverability. - Set up monitoring tools and alerts to proactively identify and address performance issues and potential outages. Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents, apply root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. - Assess resource utilization and plan for capacity expansion as data volume and workload increase. Scale Cosmos DB databases horizontally or vertically to accommodate growing demands. Additional Information:- The candidate should have a minimum 6-8 years of experience working on Database technologies.
