Job Summary
Job Title: Senior AIX Linux Systems Administrator
Location: Westlake, Ohio (Hybrid 2 days on Site)

Job Overview:
We are hiring a Senior AIX & Linux Administrator to manage and support our enterprise AIX (IBM Power) and Red Hat Linux environments. You will handle system builds, automation, patching, high availability, performance tuning, and incident resolution for critical business systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer AIX on IBM Power (HMC, PowerVM/VIOS, LPAR, NIM).
- Support RHEL 7/8/9 on VMware/KVM.
- Manage upgrades, patching, monitoring, and backup/restore (IBM Spectrum Protect).
- Configure and support PowerHA SystemMirror (HACMP).
- Automate tasks using Shell/Perl/Python and Ansible.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and lead root cause analysis.
- Work with network/storage teams on SAN, NPIV/vSCSI.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
Required Skills:
- 9+ years of AIX and Linux admin experience.
- Strong experience with HMC, NIM, PowerVM, PowerHA.
- Scripting (Shell/Perl/Python) and automation skills.
- Knowledge of VMware/KVM, SAN, and system performance tuning.
- Experience with TSM backup/restore and DR testing.
- Bachelor s degree in IT/CS or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- AIX migration experience, cloud exposure (AWS/Azure), Ansible CI/CD, ITIL.
