Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced Cyber Analyst to support operational test and evaluation for our government customer. Come join an established team of skilled professionals supporting our customer's mission to keep information and transportation systems safe.
Position includes roughly 10% travel to local customer and SAIC sites in the D.C. metro area (within 50 miles), as well as possible travel to domestic airports in support of testing. Work schedule allows flexibility within ability to meet customer needs but will require working evenings and/or weekends during busy periods.
Must be found eligible for Public Trust position by TSA and able to receive a National Security Clearance (Secret). Offer contingent upon being found eligible by TSA from vetting process

Description

Candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing formal deliverables (plans, reports, etc.) for operational cyber test events based on requirements and user inputs for technical feasibility and operational realism
- Developing strategies for varied test events (onsite vs remote, equipment vs information systems, etc.)
- Analyzing findings against established standards and presenting findings for discussion and approval with customers
- Determining necessary personnel, schedules, and resources for test events
- Formulating and applying cyber attack methods to identify and exploit varied attack surfaces
- Using and applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques
- Providing solutions to technical problems of varying scope and complexity as requirements and testing methods evolve
- Receiving assignments in the form of objectives and establishing goals to meet outlined objectives
- Working under general direction and following established procedures
- Exercising judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Contributing to completion of milestones associated with specific projects
- Communicating frequently within the organization and with customer contacts
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in computer science, computer engineering, IT, cyber engineering, or a related/equivalent discipline
- 9+ years of experience government IT systems performing IA, maintaining ATOs, conducting cybersecurity "red team" and "blue team" testing, as well as hands on application of government and industry cybersecurity policy, regulations and standards
- Must hold an active Certified Information Systems Security Consultant Professional (ISSP) certification
- Ability to prioritize workload to achieve requirements and meet deadlines
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Must be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Fluent with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledgeable of web browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer
- Proficient with cybersecurity tools/applications/operating systems, including but not limited to AppScan, Burp, Kali Linux, Nmap, Putty, SoapUI, WireShark
- Experienced writing technical documentation for government clients
- Understanding and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field
- General knowledge of related disciplines impacting cybersecurity, including physical security
