Description
Combine your comprehension of software and applications programming and industry requirements with your experience formulating and defining systems scope and objectives in this Programmer Analyst position from Robert Half. You will use research and fact-finding to make suggestions about developing or altering applications or databases. Your responsibilities
- Reviews methods of processing and recommends improvements
- Provides end users and other partner groups with continuing training and assistance for a specific application, system or process
- Evaluates user requests for systems changes or improvements. Registers functional requirements and reviews cost, feasibility and utility. Recommends how, when and whether to make the changes
- Build and evaluate programming changes prior to implementation for each systems development phase. Record test cases and expected outcomes. Ensure that requirements are met. May create simple tests or a defined subset of a larger system test. May suggest acceptance/rejection in cases where not all requirements are met
- Builds dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst, and ensures they are up to date
- Assists internal clients with applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems. Provides consultation that can include troubleshooting and/or education
- Reviews and documents code problems, working with other programmers to correct them
- Assists in the developing communication content for specific system changes being implemented in production

- Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suites
- Comprehension of Interpersonal Skills
- Resolve Issues experience highly valued
- Design experience
- Patterns experience highly desired
- Demonstrated knowledge of Workstation Support
- Command of documentation
- Practical knowledge of Troubleshoot
- Earlier work involving Queries
- Prior experience with R Code
- Previous experience working with Agile project management
- Communication Skills experience highly preferred
- Training experience
- General familiarity with consulting
- Adeptness in scheduling
- Hands-on experience with Linux
- Experience with REST API
- Deep understanding of API Development
- Foundational knowledge in procedures
- Customer service experience desired
- Knowledge of SQL Server

- Foundational knowledge in Release Process
- Background working with Cloud Technologies
- XML Technologies experience preferred
- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements

- Demonstrated success acting in a project management capacity
