The Opportunity

What You'll Contribute
  • You have an opportunity to build a world-class DevOps platform to empower our product and engineering organization to innovate at the speed of business.
  • You will be responsible for managing the product backlog and ensuring the enablement and development teams have a clear understanding of the product vision and goals.
  • You will define and prioritize backlog items, ensuring they are aligned with the product vision and goals.
  • You will bring to the team a proven track record of building strong relationships with DevOps engineering team, Change Management team, Product and Engineering, Global Technology Services, Cyber-security, education, and professional services organizations.
  • You will be responsible for identifying opportunities and gathering requirements to institutionalize the best DevOps practices into the product engineering teams.
  • You need to use data to inform decision making. Analyze data for trends and potential pain points and use this to prioritize and inform how to improve your development and enablement priorities.
  • You will create and maintain the product roadmap as well as the associated JIRA releases, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support and improve the product development process.
  • You will participate in sprint practices such as standup, planning, retrospectives and backlog grooming.
  • You will manage communication with various stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure alignment.
  • You will facilitate and moderate tough discussions to keep programs on track and raise issues when needed.
  • You will develop reports/dashboards and communicate on a regular cadence to relevant stakeholders to keep everyone informed.
  • You need to think strategically about how to solve root problems in a scalable and repeatable way to help improve FICO's product engineering globally.
  • You need to act as an agent for change within the organization to build strong teams and advance FICO's platform first agenda.
  • You will contribute to our mission which is to be at the heart of our clients' operations, from accelerating digital transformation to breaking down organizational silos to broadening credit access. What We're Seeking
  • An experienced senior level Technical Product Owner with a background in building a strong DevOps practice.
  • Solid knowledge of DevOps practices is required.
  • Solid knowledge of GitHub is needed.
  • Ability to work across organizations with Product management, Product Engineering, Cyber Security, UX, Global Technology Services, Legal, education and professional services.
  • Senior level experience in Technical Product Owner role. Or similar experience in software development, engineering, product management or program management with a proven ability to support the product and engineering organization.
  • Ideal candidate possesses the following attributes: Lean Thinker, Agile Mindset, Strong Listener, Development Experience, Hands-on DevOps Experiences, Easily Builds Trusting Relationships, Focused on Continual Improvement, Charismatic, Strong Leadership Traits, High Level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Experience with Organizational Change Management.
  • Ideal candidate leads by example to embrace DevOps culture and mindset including culture of psychological safety, empowerment, experimentation, collaboration, co-create, continuous improvement, disagree and commit, and outcome over output.
  • Real-life DevOps transformation experience with end2end visibility of product development lifecycle.
  • Ideal candidate has working experience in Lean Product management, OKR (Objective and Key Results), Agile development, shift-left testing, shift-left security, Infra-as-code, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), DevOps measurement such as DORA KPIs, PaaS/SaaS, DevOps architecture and value stream.
  • Experience working asynchronously in a remote, distributed team. Experience leading global teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with clear verbal communication as well as written communication skills.
  • Collaborative style: partners well with cross-functional teams solve hard problems and to complete complex deliverables with quality and business outcome.
  • Strong on influencing and relationship building while exceptional in conflict management skills.
  • Analytics and financial industry background is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in highly related field; Advanced degree a plus.
