SAP PP Lead Make/Assemble to Order

We are launching a new Make/Assemble-to-Order manufacturing facility and are seeking an experienced SAP Production Planning (PP) Lead to own the process design and configuration efforts. This is a greenfield implementation, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, build-from-scratch environments and has hands-on experience with variant configuration and reusable components.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and configuration of SAP PP processes for an Assemble-to-Order manufacturing model.

• Implement variant configuration to enable flexible product assembly from predefined and reusable parts.

• Work closely with production, engineering, inventory, and planning teams to align business processes with system design.

• Develop functional specifications, support testing, validation, and ensure readiness for go-live.

• Provide leadership in key project phases, including fit-gap analysis, cutover, and hypercare.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a SAP PP consultant, with a focus on discrete and assemble-to-order manufacturing.

• Strong hands-on skills in SAP PP configuration, including work centers, routings, BOMs, and order management.

• Direct experience with variant configuration (LO-VC or AVC) highly preferred.

• Prior involvement in greenfield implementations or manufacturing facility startups is a strong plus.

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
