About this Position:

Job Title: Network Administrator

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical expertise to migrate Social Services file and application storage to Azure/cloud solutions and support ongoing development.

  2. Monitor and support Azure/cloud storage performance, integration with endpoints, and interactions with systems, applications, and services.

  3. Manage user/group access, security controls, password protection, file archiving, and shared resource usage for enterprise storage systems.

  4. Analyze systems, conduct usability testing, ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and compliance with security requirements.

  5. Communicate implications of cloud storage decisions, requirements, and capabilities of Microsoft Azure within broader systems and projects.

  6. Collaborate with Security, End User Support, Network Services, and Network Communications teams to design and implement secure Azure infrastructure.

  7. Deploy and maintain monitoring tools, system agents, virtualization/remote administration tools, and support security countermeasures to meet State and Federal requirements.

  8. Support DevOps architectural framework, perform maintenance (including off-hours), mentor peers, ensure project success, and administer agency fax communication systems.

Required skills
In order of importance:

  • 2-4 years of experience Azure Cloud and Virtualization; Microsoft 365, Office 365.

  • 2-4 years of experience MS Active Directory.

  • 2-4 years of experience knowledge of open-source frameworks such as ASP.Net.

  • 2-4 years of experience in PowerShell.

  • 3+ years of experience with Proofpoint.

Preferred skills
In order of importance:

  • Datacenter and network infrastructure experience.

  • User and group management, authentication, and security policies (GPO).

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, and SQL Server.

Soft skills:

  • Ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively with technical, non-technical staff, and customers/stakeholders as needed or directed.

  • Clear documentation and reporting skills.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Security, Network Services, End User Support).

  • Mentoring junior staff.

  • Willingness to work off-hours and weekends for scheduled maintenance.
