Job Details

IT Manager

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical operations and ensuring seamless service delivery across multiple projects and teams. This role involves strategic planning, hands-on leadership, and proactive communication to support organizational goals and maintain high standards of technology management.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Technical Oversight

  • Lead and support technology-related initiatives such as infrastructure upgrades, system installations, and rewiring projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to scope, plan, and execute new projects.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects and manage close-out procedures.
  • Monitor deadlines and escalate issues as needed to leadership.
  • Provide regular updates and milestone tracking to stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear communication around service disruptions and resolutions.
  • Coordinate procurement and deployment of technology equipment.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of network infrastructure, vendor relationships, and inventory.
  • Update internal documentation to reflect changes in services and systems.
  • Support annual audits by compiling and verifying relevant data.
  • Ensure timely delivery of health check reports and service summaries.

Ticket & Escalation Management

  • Act as a point of escalation for technical support teams.
  • Monitor aging support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding high-priority issues and service concerns.

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Facilitate daily team check-ins and monthly operations meetings.
  • Schedule regular client-facing meetings to review performance and gather feedback.
  • Participate in leadership planning sessions and training programs.
  • Assist in setting strategic goals and operational milestones.

Field Technician Management

  • Assign and schedule tasks for field technicians based on location and priority.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews and support professional development.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution support.
  • Guide the team through organizational changes and continuous improvement efforts.

Administrative Duties

  • Review and submit timesheets and data entries for accuracy.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in IT or technical operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in educational technology environments.
  • Relevant industry certifications.
  • Proven experience mentoring or managing staff.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
