Vanguard is seeking a talented Senior React.js Developer to join a cross-functional engineering team supporting the Change of Ownership platform. This team manages client-facing transactions related to inheritance, gifting, and internal account transfers. The Barracudas team owns the external UI application (DP), which enables clients to submit ownership change requests.

The ideal candidate is passionate about modern front-end development, experienced with React and Angular, and thrives in a collaborative, Agile environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React and AngularJS.

Own and enhance the external UI application (DP) used by Vanguard clients.

Implement new features and functionality using React, AngularJS, and Node.js.

Contribute to backend API development using Node.js.

Build serverless microservices and event-driven APIs using AWS Lambda.

Participate in upgrading and maintaining Angular applications (Angular 12+ / 16).

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments.

Write and maintain unit tests and perform initial testing (no separate QA team).

Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps on build, test, and deployment automation.

Work closely with Tech Leads, Senior Developers, UX designers, and cross-functional partners.

 

Required Qualifications

2–5 years of relevant front-end development experience.

Strong hands-on experience with React, AngularJS, and Node.js.

Experience working with multi-page applications and Micro Frontends (MFE) architecture.

Familiarity with unit testing, initial testing, and CI/CD processes.

Ability to work onsite in Malvern, PA as part of a core engineering team.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

Strong React expertise (future applications and new capabilities will be built in React).

Experience with TypeScript, especially on the Node.js side.

Experience working with RESTful APIs.

Experience writing automated unit and integration tests.

Exposure to AWS services and serverless architecture.
