Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in Splunk who will design and develop software solutions by analyzing stakeholder requirements and conferring with users and other system engineers.

Responsiblities may also include:

Design and implement software solutions to complex problems
Develop software system installation or build procedures or scripts
Analyze and resolve system performance issues (e.g. response time or timing problems, interface/integration problems, system bottlenecks, data flow issues).
Build a new Splunk instance to replace an existing system's capabilities and make improvements / modernize it including:
analyze requirements
design and size Splunk architectures
craft ingest capabilities
data modeling
solutions development
dashboard designing
Splunk Enterprise Security administration.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience
Experience performing systems engineering activities and assisting in the preparation of work products
Ability to develop analytics
Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security administration
Splunk Certified Architect or Splunk Accredited Consultant certification is required
Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
Desired Qualifications:

Ability to build Splunk instances
Ability to design and size Splunk Architectures
Ability to craft ingest capabilities
Knowledge of data modeling, solutions developent, dashboard design

Target Salary Range
