As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You'll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you'll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple's devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices! Apple is looking for a software engineer to enhance, develop and maintain internal tools, applications, and reporting systems. In this highly visible role, you will have the responsibility of ensuring that Apple's world class Silicon Engineering Group will have the infrastructure and tools needed to engineer and design the worlds most advanced silicon devices and products. You will utilize your experience in software design, application development, and server administration to enhance and develop monitoring tools, systems automation tools, and associated multi-tier web applications.

Description You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Developing and fostering partnerships with cross-functional teams is key to long-term success. The person filling this position must be a hands-on, pro-active, self-motivated developer with strong initiative and a desire to succeed in a challenging environment. You will adopt a DevOps mindset to support automation efforts and learn infrastructure as code paradigms that sustain our large distributed environment. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in both infrastructure management and web application development.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of BS + 3 years of relevant industry experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • - Strong experience in full stack web development
  • - Proficient with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to Ruby, Go, Python and Typescript
  • - Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, and object oriented programming
  • - Experience with REST APIs
  • - Experience with front end javascript frameworks and tools -- React, Vite
  • - Experience with revision control software -- Git, SVN
  • - Experience with Linux is desired
  • - Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment tools
  • - Familiarity with containers and container orchestration is a plus

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
