Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Formal degree not required; relevant IT experience will take precedence over educational background

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Basic to intermediate IT knowledge and troubleshooting abilities
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and MDOS (Managed Desktop Operating System)
Experienced in Networking fundamentals, including wireless/Wi-Fi troubleshooting
Knowledgeable with Computers, handhelds, tablets, and peripheral devices
Strong problem-solving and triage skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Customer-focused with solid communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Previous hands-on experience in IT support or technical operations is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting IT infrastructure in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
Exposure to desktop, tablet, and handheld device support in a production setting is beneficial.

The IT Operations Support Specialist provides on-site technical support within a manufacturing environment, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, handheld devices, tablets, and network infrastructure. This role involves setting up and maintaining IT equipment for end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and wireless networking issues, and performing routine system maintenance and upgrades. The specialist responds to support tickets assigned through an internal queue, assists with new employee technology setups, and helps resolve shop floor IT issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day IT operational support within a manufacturing environment
Address and resolve hardware/software issues involving computers, tablets, and handheld devices
Perform system maintenance tasks, including authorized upgrades and preventative maintenance on IT systems and networks
Set up and configure computers and system access for new employees
Monitor system performance and accuracy to ensure high availability and efficiency
Support wireless networking infrastructure and resolve connectivity issues
Execute root-cause analysis to identify and mitigate recurring IT issues
Manage tickets and tasks assigned through the internal "Answers" queue under the guidance of a site lead
