Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer to support the advancement of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) systems for Nondestructive Testing (NDT) operations. This developmental position is designed for a candidate to learn under the mentorship of an experienced Industrial Engineer. The Engineer will gain hands-on experience in UT system design, integration, and process improvements, contributing to multi-facility projects, nationwide rollouts, and lean operations initiatives. This role is intended to build the foundation for progression into Senior Engineer or Technical Specialist positions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Under Industrial Engineer Mentorship (UT System Design & Engineering)

Provides engineering support to UT operations nationwide, ensuring compliance with technical standards.

Assists in the design and development of custom UT systems tailored to facility and customer needs.

Supports integration projects to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce inspection time, and improve data reliability.

Participates in process improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and support lean operations.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams including quality, maintenance, and NDT personnel to ensure compliance and certification readiness.

Assists with fabrication, installation, validation, and documentation of new UT systems, including operator training support.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a technical learning mindset.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Ability to work in a hands-on environment and learn directly from technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to NDT methods or UT system applications.

Knowledge of Lean operations or process improvement principles.

Familiarity with industrial inspection systems or automated testing equipment.

Working Conditions:

Office, lab, and shop environment with exposure to testing equipment and inspection systems.

Nationwide travel up to 50% to support multi-site operations and system rollouts.
