We are currently seeking a IT Support Specialist/Administrator for a client in Shelton, CT.
Contract position 8 months to start (end of the year) with most likely extensions into 2025 and beyond
Pay rate per hour is dependent on experience.
Qualifications
A good fit for this role will have hands on, practical experience with current versions of Windows and Windows Server, possesses strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills, is self-motivated, and has good verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be able to work well in a role where priorities may shift frequently to address hardware and software incompatibilities identified during the testing and deployment phases. Customer service skills are required as the individual will be working with end users of the equipment as it is deployed.
Seeking a self-motivated system engineer who can work collaboratively to help with the following:
Deploy new Windows 11 Laptops/Desktops
Deploy Corporate Cell Phones
Update asset inventory
Resolve Windows update issues
Investigate Cyber Security tickets
Assist with Switch upgrade.
Assist with Security camera upgrade.
Responsibilities:
Creating and documenting a Windows 11 package for deployment on new Dell Optiplex and Latitude PCs, maintaining an issues log and using proven troubleshooting techniques to resolve identified problems. The candidate will also build and deploy the latest release of WSUS and help update AD GPOs. Under most situations, this role will work a standard shift 8:30am 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Candidates should have in-depth and hands-on experience working with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or later, Windows 10 & 11 operating system, Active Directory, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), printing services.
