Job Title: DC Technician/ Datacenter Tech / Network Engineer

Location: Abilene, TX (Onsite Role)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract Role + Extension
Pay Range: $40/hr. to $45/hr.




Job Description:


  • We are seeking an experienced Network Installation Technician to join our team in Abilene, Texas.


  • This is a 24/7/365 position on-site in Abilene, Texas, and includes day/night shift, weekend, and holiday work with occasional travel based on business requirements.



  • Be able to work on a shift schedule that rotates ( 8 to 12-hour shifts), including weekends and holidays.


  • Physically install network racks and mount servers in the racks.

  • Connect Ethernet and power cords, ensuring cables are neatly routed and tied according to schematics and plans.


  • Install, remove, and Troubleshoot network hardware in data center racks without disturbing other hardware and critical infrastructure.



  • Maintain asset inventory and update the internal application as needed.


  • Participate in Data Center Infrastructure projects.


  • Data center networking knowledge.



  • Experience in Data Center Infrastructure projects.


  • Proficiency in troubleshooting across Layer 2 and Layer 3


  • 5 years+ experience in network installation and maintenance, Structured Cabling, copper/Fiber, and testing of cables.
