Title : Mobile Application Engineer

Location : Remote (USA Based candidates only)

Duration : 12+ Months Contract

Job Summary

We re seeking a passionate Android Developer with strong experience in Kotlin and Java to join our team. You ll design, build, and maintain scalable Android applications, implementing Android architectural patterns and Jetpack components.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive Android applications using Kotlin and Java, translating UI/UX designs into robust.
• Implement and leverage Android architecture components (e.g., ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation) and Jetpack libraries.
• Apply Android architectural patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or MVP to ensure maintainability and modularity.
• Build features and integrate with backend services using RESTful APIs, JSON, and other protocols.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, actively participating in code reviews and pair programming sessions.
• Optimize app performance, troubleshoot bugs, and address UI responsiveness issues across Android devices and OS version.
• Apply unit and UI/instrumentation testing (using JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, etc.) to boost robustness and quality.
• Manage code with Git, follow Agile/Scrum methodologies, and assist in sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Stay current with Android ecosystem developments (e.g., Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, dependency injection), and proactively introduce improved practices.
• Optionally, mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement of architecture and tooling.
