Description

SAIC is seeking a SETA Systems Engineer to provide SETA support to SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

As the SETA Systems Engineer you will provide specialized engineering expertise supporting system-level architecture analysis for advance ground innovative software services. SAIC's client is tasked with leading the integration of mission focused tools to foster increased efficiency, automation, and information sharing. You will also assist and advise Government managers in evaluating and transitioning innovative technologies for the customer's Ground Enterprise.

Job Responsibilities to include:
  • Interact with Government project management and functional managers to define scope of work for projects, and develop and update detailed schedules
  • Use Microsoft Project to organize, implement and maintain multiple schedules for the various program technical branches
  • Integrate developer schedules to generate and maintain an accurate Organization-level master schedule
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identify any variances, and highlight developing problem areas
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around
  • Use Government CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items
  • Coordinate project level impact analyses of proposed engineering changes
  • Support agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders
  • Derive enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface level requirements and work with the team to develop the corresponding documentation

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph
  • Knowledge of supporting technical, cost and schedule performance of software development programs.
  • Knowledge of IC acquisition cycle, requirements processes, budgetary practices, and acquisition documentation
  • Familiar with Space Systems within the Intel Community/IC
  • Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments.
  • Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high tempo environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and Atlassian collaboration tools
