CMDB Process Lead - FULLY REMOTE
Description:
The Configuration Management Process Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality and governance of the configuration management process across the organization. This role provides oversight and guidance for end-to-end CMDB processes, collaborating with IT leadership and stakeholders to implement best practices, standards, and policies. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of configuration management methodologies and a proven ability to drive key KPIs and IT operations goals. Strong technical expertise in the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Discovery, CMDB structure, MID servers, and the ServiceNow platform is essential.

The Configuration Management Process Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality and governance of the configuration management process across the organization. Strong technical expertise in the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Discovery, CMDB structure, MID servers, and the ServiceNow platform is essential.
Skills
- Must have experience previously owning and managing a CMDB environment at a prior organization
- 8+ years of experience in ITIL and ITSM Processes to ensure best practices are being followed within the CMDB Environment
- 6+ years of experience within the ServiceNow platform with expert level knowledge in CMDB and CMDB Discovery, and CSDM. The client is looking for an individual to own the CMDB environment.
- Strong experience managing and developing a configuration process that includes identifying, defining, recording, and maintaining accurate information about all the components of the CMDB
- Strong skills with troubleshooting and problem solving and incident management on the ServiceNow platform
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Leadership:
- Establish and manage integrated processes supporting Configuration Management. Build organizational expertise and coordinate the full lifecycle in a high-interoperability IT environment. Enable CMDB stakeholders to effectively use the database and related processes.
- Maintenance & Support:
- Provide technical support and resolve issues related to data analytics, policies, processes, standards, and best practices.
- Communication & Training:
- Partner with data consumers to understand business needs. Deliver training on reports, dashboards, and governance standards.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Process Improvement, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
Certifications:
- Required:
- ITIL v3 or v4 Certification (or equivalent experience)
- Preferred:
- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - Discovery
