Job Details

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network / System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Richmond, VA. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Mainframe (System z) Storage projects with varying degrees of complexity includes system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software
  • Assist and help train junior analysts includes guiding and providing technical peer reviews
  • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results

Requirements:
  • Experienced MF Storage administrator with 5-10 years' of experience
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision from more seasoned consultants or managers includes support of senior personnel and project managers on technical projects
  • Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
  • Strong technical documentation writing skills
  • Experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication
  • Experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations
  • Experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension
  • Involved with implementation of new MF Storage technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of Client/SRS, Client, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS
  • Self-starter and able to work without hands-on supervision
  • Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX
  • Project management skills
  • Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge
  • Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operations

Pay range: $50.55 - $58.55
