Responsibilities:
- Support Mainframe (System z) Storage projects with varying degrees of complexity includes system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software
- Assist and help train junior analysts includes guiding and providing technical peer reviews
- Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
Requirements:
- Experienced MF Storage administrator with 5-10 years' of experience
- Ability to work under minimal supervision from more seasoned consultants or managers includes support of senior personnel and project managers on technical projects
- Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
- Strong technical documentation writing skills
- Experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication
- Experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations
- Experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension
- Involved with implementation of new MF Storage technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Client/SRS, Client, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS
- Self-starter and able to work without hands-on supervision
- Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX
- Project management skills
- Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge
- Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operations
