Position: Lead Architect AI / SDLC Pod Lead
Location: United States (Remote or Hybrid), Preferably Bay Area
Security clearance : Active Security Clearance Required
Overview
We are assembling a high-performing Pod team for Client and are seeking a Lead Architect to spearhead the initiative. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the technical architecture, design, and development roadmap for cutting-edge solutions, including initiatives involving AI and Agentic AI.
The ideal candidate is an all-rounder with a strong grasp of software engineering, system architecture, and full SDLC principles, and has the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and business domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and technical direction for the Client Pod team.
- Drive end-to-end SDLC processes including design, development, integration, and deployment.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, developers, and product stakeholders to design intelligent and scalable solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/Agentic AI, automation, microservices, APIs, etc.) for potential integration.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and best coding practices.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between client stakeholders and the internal team.
Required Qualifications
Active Security Clearance (Mandatory)
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, design, and full SDLC management
- Strong background in enterprise systems architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience or familiarity with AI / Agentic AI / Intelligent Automation technologies
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in building and leading small cross-functional Pod teams
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, and data integration patterns
- Understanding of secure coding and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, DoD, etc.)
