Description:
The Logistic Coordinator is responsible for managing and directing vehicle traffic entering and exiting the shipping and receiving area of the plant. This role ensures the safe and efficient flow of inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining clear communication with plant personnel and ensuring all activities adhere to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Traffic Coordination:
Direct and control the movement of shipping vehicles entering and leaving the plant to ensure smooth operations and prevent congestion.
Safety Oversight:
Monitor and coordinate safety procedures for personnel and equipment at the rear of the facility, ensuring a hazard-free work environment.
Shipment Notifications:
Communicate timely and accurate information to plant personnel regarding the arrival and departure of shipments.
Log Maintenance:
Maintain a detailed and accurate log of all transportation companies, drivers, and personnel entering and exiting the shipping and receiving area.
Qualifications:
Minimum High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience (3-5 years) in logistics, transportation coordination, or shipping/receiving is a must.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and log management.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working outdoors and in a warehouse environment.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical activity.
May require flexibility in shifts, including evenings and weekends, depending on shipping schedules.
