Title : AS400 Developer with Rental Man
Location : Atlanta, GA /Onsite
Relevant Experience (in Yrs.): 8+ years
Detailed Job Description.
  • Collaborate with business teams to capture data using RentalMan table templates.
  • Validate captured data to ensure all key columns are populated.
  • Work with Wynn Systems to load data into Rental Man database tables.
  • Perform validation testing on loaded data using RentalMan screens.
  • Create/update rental data using Rental Man screens.
  • Support production roll-out and post-production validation efforts.
  • Act as the highest-level technical resource for complex applications and platforms.
  • Analyze business requirements, design, and develop applications using SQLRPGLE on IBMi/iSeries/AS400.
  • Provide mentorship and act as a technical expert for programming staff.
  • Prepare detailed design specifications and perform coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Work directly with users to enhance business operations through technology.
  • Lead simulation, modelling, and performance analysis using Visual Explain and performance tools.
  • Use IBM Rational Developer for i (RDi) and Aldon for source control and debugging.
  • Participate in Agile development processes.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 8 10 years of AS400 development experience.
  • Expertise in RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DB2/400, SQLRPGLE, ILE Concepts.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on AS400 programming.
  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of Rental Man ERP, including:
    • Rental creation
    • Quotes and reservations
    • Contract conversions
    • Invoicing and credit memos
    • Partial/full returns
    • Cycle billing and contract closures
    • Handling of job sites, customer types (charge/cash)
  • Experience with RentalMan control/system tables and database structures.
  • Strong skills in Agile methodology and production support.
  • At least 4 years of retail industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across business units.
