We are seeking a Business Analyst / Project Coordinator to join our team.

This role will involve supporting software development projects within a government or grant-funded environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in business analysis, project coordination, and software development lifecycle management, along with a passion for process improvement, stakeholder collaboration, and digital transformation.

Job Title: Business Analyst / Project Coordinator

Location: Hybrid [Lansing, MI] (Onsite 2 days a week: Tuesdays and Wednesdays preferred)
Duration: 1 Year (with possible extension)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst / Project Coordinator to play a key role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, and the ability to coordinate project activities across multiple teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the liaison between business units, project managers, and development teams to ensure alignment of goals and deliverables.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and feedback to inform project improvements.
  • Support multiple internal and external teams to meet business objectives, training needs, and implementation timelines.
  • Create and manage User Stories, work items, and queries within Azure DevOps to support development and tracking.
  • Facilitate meetings, requirement walkthroughs, and documentation reviews with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with QA, development, and business units to validate deliverables and ensure quality.
  • Communicate effectively-both written and verbal-to maintain project transparency and success.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years in a role as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or Project Coordinator supporting software development projects.
  • 5+ years of experience gathering and documenting business feedback and incorporating changes into processes.
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating across multiple teams to support business processes and project needs.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a liaison between business clients and development teams with a strong understanding of SDLC.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including creating User Stories and queries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 1+ year of experience working with Federal, State, or Local Grant Management Systems or other government-funded programs.

Schedule:

  • Hybrid model: Onsite 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays preferred).
  • No remote-only option.
  • Candidates must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense and start onsite from day one.
