A well-known company in the Tech space is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Linux Support Engineer to join the team of about eight.
As a Junior Linux Support Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems within this organization. You will work closely with senior engineers to provide technical support, resolve issues, and contribute to the enhancement of our Linux infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers and systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Linux servers and applications.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and end-users regarding Linux-related queries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to implement system upgrades, patches, and security fixes.
  • Perform regular backups and recovery procedures for Linux-based systems.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures for Linux administration.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in Linux system administration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of shell scripting and command-line utilities.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience or internship in Linux system administration or technical support is a plus.
