We are seeking 2 Software Quality Assurance Tester to join a technical services team for the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

Job Location:

100% Remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology Statewide Education Data System). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.

This position will work with the FSP development team to provide the following Software Testing Services:

  • Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
  • Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases against HTML, PDF, and Excel Reports, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
  • Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
  • Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
  • Execute performance and accessibility testing
  • Perform manual testing and data validation

The QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps/projects in the client.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

7 years of:

  • Testing complex Web Applications
  • Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Testing automation experience with Selenium and TestNG

5 years of:

  • Advanced Database/SQL Language

3 years of:

  • Experience with Java Programming Language

2 years of:

  • Experience Using Apache POI and Apache PDFBox
  • Experience with WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools

Preferred:

3 years of:

  • Experience parsing WebTables to Verify Results

2 years of:

  • Previous experience with Zephyr Scale preferred
  • Previous experience with JIRA preferred
