IT/ Communications Controls Engineer

Job Location: Newark, NJ

Employment Type: Contract

Required Skills:

Experience in design, development, programming, and field commissioning experience

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, including P&IDs, sequence of operations, technical specifications, etc.

Experience with industrial communications protocol, such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, DNP3.0, Ethernet/IP, serial comms (RS-485, RS-232, and CAN), and ARINC

Reading PLC Ladder Logic, Tags, and Scripts

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to set up a database historian
