Job Details
We're seeking an experienced UX/UI Consultant. As a seasoned UX/UI developer, you'll play a crucial role in crafting intuitive and visually appealing user experiences for our web applications. Keys to the job are strong design, Usability Testing, Prototyping, Test Documentation, and UI. This will require Mon-Wed on site in downtown Chicago. All resumes must include a portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Develop initial design concepts, wireframes, and solutions that meet business objectives and user needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring design solutions meet user expectations
- Create detailed UX deliverables, including process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications
- Conduct user testing and iterate on design solutions based on feedback and usability findings
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including front-end engineers, to ensure seamless implementation of design specifications
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve design solutions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise and creativity
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience designing for large, complex digital applications
- Expertise in UX design principles, usability best practices, and responsive design principles
- Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders
Nice to Have:
- Experience with design systems and brand guidelines
- Knowledge of front-end development principles and technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with user testing and usability research methods
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and regulations (e.g., WCAG, Section 508)
