The Center for Academic Development and Enrichment (CADE) serves as a central resource hub promoting excellence, engagement, professional growth, mentorship, and work-life integration. CADE is composed of three main pillars: the Office for Research Careers, the Office for Clinical Careers, and the Office for Academic Engagement and Enrichment. Each pillar encompasses several specialized divisions dedicated to faculty, trainees, and students. All initiatives are data-driven and designed to create measurable and sustainable improvements in access, opportunity, fairness, engagement, and career development.

Reporting to the Administrative Director, Business Intelligence Unit and Research Finance, and in consultation with the Faculty Director, the Data Analyst is responsible for development and management of an various frameworks that measure the effectiveness of CADE programming and provide strategic oversight of data analytics, development of metrics and benchmarks. They will be in charge of overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to CADE and MGB leadership, while also partnering with departments to provide department-specific data for their internal initiatives. The will provide key data analytics that will help guide the strategic planning of CADE and its different offices and cores. A central aspect of the role involves using data-driven insights to inform decision-making, measure program success, and build scalable solutions that support a diverse and dynamic MGB community.

Job Summary
Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

Essential Functions
-Collect, clean, and transform large and complex data sets from various sources for analysis.

-Partner with aligned senior leaders to determine and plan for data analytics/reporting needs of a business unit or functional area(s).

-Mentor and train other data analysts.

-Identify trends, correlations, and anomalies in data and provide explanations or recommendations based on findings.

-Create clear, concise, and visually compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports.

-Present complex data and analytical findings in a meaningful and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

-Performs comprehensive quality assurance, ensuring that data and reports meet end-user specifications and are accurate and reliable.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Analysis required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Experience in data analysis 5-7 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data visualization, and Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate complex workflows and data to a variety of audiences.
- Project management skills and/or experience are a plus.
- Knowledge and application of statistical analyses including variance analysis and statistical significant preferred.
- Healthcare knowledge, particularly as it pertains to electronic medical record data, is preferred but not required.
