Job Title: Course Director / Project Manager NPS/NSO Program Coordination

Location: NATO School Oberammergau (NSO)

Period of Performance: July 1, 2025 June 30, 2030 (Base + 4 Option Years)

Work Hours: Monday Friday, 0730 1630 (excluding federal holidays)

Job Summary:

The Course Director/Project Manager will provide program coordination and research support for Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) courses delivered at the NATO School Oberammergau (NSO). This role includes course planning, scheduling, logistics, accreditation, stakeholder engagement, and on-site management of 12 14 annual courses in Cyber Security, Maritime Security, Energy Security, Defense Analysis, AI/ML, and other emerging domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate NPS/NSO program execution, course delivery, and logistics.
  • Liaise with NPS faculty, NSO staff, NATO ACT, Department Heads, and Requiring Authorities to achieve and maintain NATO course accreditation.
  • Support course development, evaluation, and continuous improvement aligned with NATO requirements.
  • Manage student and instructor support, course materials, LMS setup, and administrative tasks.
  • Provide monthly status reports and post-course evaluation summaries to NPS and NSO leadership.
  • Represent NPS at NATO conferences, working groups, and symposia related to cyber and energy security.
  • Oversee course performance, instructor development, and compliance with NATO/NSO quality assurance standards.

Minimum Technical Requirements:

  • Current work authorization for the European Union is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with project support, coordination, and managing the development and delivery of academic courses.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a NATO academic planning and programming environment is required.
  • Knowledge of the military education and training working environment is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with the NATO ACT course accreditation process.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining and promoting working relationships with research and educational organizations across NATO and other international and national institutions is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of government-related experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of the NSO/NPS partnership is required.
  • Contractor personnel shall reside in Oberammergau, Germany.
  • Fluency in at least one European language other than English is required.
  • English fluency is required.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
