MDI Application Analyst I

Department:
IT Care Delivery Applications

Job Description:

The Application Analyst I is an entry-level position that supports Operations and ETS in determining workflows and system capabilities to ensure effective outcomes. The position will help support the host of ETS systems and operations ranging from ancillary applications to supporting business, clinical and revenue cycle operations in conjunction with Epic and the Enterprise Resource Planning System for various functional areas.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Developing technical solutions to business problems
  • Analyzing and implementing solutions based on operation workflow needs
  • Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and education of system applications
  • Documenting workflow reflecting current and future state
  • Monitoring, tracking, and documenting system utilization and effectiveness
  • Taking part in pre- and post-implementation metrics gathering to assure the system is delivering expected outcomes
  • Troubleshooting application performance and technical issues
  • Performing software testing and documenting compliance with system and industry standards
  • Participate in documenting changes to be presented by senior application analysts to the appropriate change board


General Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required.

Experience Requirements: 0-3 years of experience in IT required. Previous IT healthcare experience preferred.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements: No certification required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers, patient care information systems and business systems
  • The ability to extract and analyze data
  • Knowledge of processional theory, practices, techniques and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and ensure quality patient care
  • Good listening skills
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software
  • Comprehension of the integration of ancillary applications and their associated functionality
