We have an exciting opportunity to join our Systems Engineering team supporting the highly successful Command and Control Consolidated System within the C-SAR Program based in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is responsible for performing system design updates, reliability assessment, hardware/software integration, and system documentation updates. The candidate will collaborate closely with Product Owners, software developers, testers, and on-site user support personnel to analyze and resolve system issues, implement updates, and ensure project objectives are achieved.
Primary responsibilities include ground system sustainment, Agile increment planning and reviews, CDRL report preparation and reviews, meeting and working group participation, and support for Task Orders, ECPs, CCPs, and ROMs. In addition, the candidate may engage with management, product, and IR&D teams to help define strategic technical directions, develop innovative solutions for executing programs, and contribute to the organization's continued technical excellence and market leadership.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000

- Supporting the C-SAR System Engineering team to ensure all engineering contractual requirements and deliverables are met.
- Support all required IPTs, TIMs, WGs and Ad hoc meetings
- Participate in CDRL generation and deliveries based on customer prescribed schedule
- SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices (Atlassian suite)
- Lead/Conduct studies and capture technical analysis in support future design reviews
- Support Reliability analysis

- System documentation updates
- Work closely with Product Owners, system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions
- Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level
- Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings
- Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings
Experience and Skills
- 10+ years engineering
- BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent
- Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews
- Experience with SCN or satellite ground systems
- Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
- Complete knowledge of Agile methodology
- Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
- Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems and system development processes
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Cryptographic equipment (e.g., KG-252, KG-255) and Front End Processor (FEP) integration, configuration, and troubleshooting within ground system environments
- Space to Ground ICDs
- SATCOM mission planning
- Risk management
- MBSE
- Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs)
- Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- DOORS
- Security+ certification is not required but is beneficial to the position
