Job Description:

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years managing and administrating ELK  technologies( FluentBit, LogStash, Kafka, Elastic Search, Kibana).
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS), in bare-metal and Cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, OpenStack)
  • Experience with cloud platforms AWS( Open Search, Cloud Watch,  ELB,  EC2 , EFS , EBS , S3 , MSK)
  • Strong experience with building ELK platforms from ground up using ElasticSearch, Kibana and troubleshooting issues with ElasticSearch/Kibana.
  • Strong experience  with  IAC (Infrastructure As a Code). Ansible based deployment and configuration automation solutions.
  • Proficiency in high level script languages (Groovy or Python preferred) as well as script environments like bash/shell
  • Experience with DevOps workflow automation (Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Experience with migrating applications from monolithic to Kubernetes container platform
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible
  • Working knowledge of monitoring tools like New Relic OR Datadog
  • Experience with web based services and protocols ( HTTP , HTTPS, REST , Apache , Tomcat)
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Stash Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.
  • M.S. or relevant experience required. 

 

Preferred to have:

  • AWS Certification

 

Job Details:

  • This position requires someone who has Strong experience with IaC (Infrastructure As a Code).
  • As a member of the SRE  Logging as a Service team, you will be responsible for the design and deployment of medium to highly complex ELK systems.
  • This includes the design and automation of logging infrastructure from specifications and advanced troubleshooting of moderately complex application’s logging platforms and operational support of (production, staging, test and development) environments for multiple application’s logging infrastructure using FluentBit, Kafka, and ElasticSearch.
  • Monitors system’s capacity and performance, optimizes, and provides Tier 2 technical support. 
  • In addition, this role requires the candidate to be highly flexible in hours of work because of its customer-facing, highly available infrastructure requirements.
  • Work closely with Dev, QA and production support team members to align and orchestrate resolutions on open issues/defects.
  • Provides high level written communications to upper management regarding production issues.
