Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to provide on-site operational support for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Technical Operations Center (TOC). This role is responsible for ensuring reliable system operations, implementing configuration changes, monitoring performance, and supporting break/fix activities. The Senior Systems Administrator will play a key role in maintaining secure and resilient IT infrastructure to support mission-critical functions.

This position is fully on-site at the following location:

  • 1000 Chiefs Way, Pensacola FL 32511
Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Administrator will apply technical expertise to ensure stable and secure system operations and will:

  • Manage the daily administration, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise systems and servers.
  • Implement approved configuration changes and ensure system baselines remain compliant with security and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot system and infrastructure issues, resolving incidents within defined service levels.
  • Coordinate with TOC and other CISA contractors to prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for configuration changes and break/fix activities.
  • Perform system backups, patching, and vulnerability remediation to ensure availability and security.
  • Support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements by providing system documentation and status updates.
  • Provide escalation support for priority incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to minimize downtime and impact.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, recommending enhancements to system reliability, monitoring, and automation.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable suitability determination (Public Trust background investigation).
  • Minimum of 4 years of systems administration experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Certifications: ITIL 4 certification preferred. Additional system administration certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, VMware) desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Hands-on expertise with Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization technologies, system monitoring, and patch management.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Federal experience (preferred).
