Work You'll Do
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for partnering across Architecture, Operations, and our Global Engineering teams to up-level and accelerate delivery of essential capabilities across OCI. From Design, Delivery, and Operations, you'll provide expert level expertise to enable an exciting reshaping of our Security, Safety, and Assurance capabilities. We are looking for hands on leaders and engineers that can both set strategic vision, deliver enterprise capabilities, and get deep in our code and deliver features at scale. Our vision is to build technology that transforms not only OCI but also the Security and Cloud Infrastructure industry. Join us to help build an elite of engineers and architects focused on the apex of internal capability engineering and product engineering. Responsibilities include:
Lead and deliver critical capabilities related to infrastructure, data, host, service, and application detection automation, containment, and observability.
Develop tactical and strategic roadmaps for 1P, 3P, and hybrid technologies to secure OCI at Scale.
Envision the future of dynamic automation, orchestration, Chaos Security, and Continuous Assessment/Validation capabilities and iteratively deliver these transformative technologies.
Partner across Security Engineers, Operators, Architects, Product Managers, Software Development Engineers(SDEs), and Software Development Managers(SDMs) to deliver stand alone and integrated capabilities to enable operations and engineering teams to rapidly detect, contain, and remediate security issues.
Lead the enterprise deployment of critical 3P and 1P solutions at scale while driving the evolution of the entire stack of OCI capabilities.
Design the future. Evolve our capabilities beyond the horizon to shape the unimagined as it relates to securing AI, Hardware, Infrastructure, and the entire stack at OCI and Oracle

Ability to challenge norms, set new direction, and rapidly deliver iterative change
Deep desire to accelerate transformation and scale world class Security Engineering capabilities
Deep knowledge of Product, Engineering, and Architecture to fuse 1P and 3P strategies through hybrid approaches to solve significant security and safety gaps at scale.
Deep experience in Chaos Security Engineering or Continuous Assessment and Validation technologies at scale.
An insatiable curiosity and desire to challenge conventional wisdom of the Security, Safety, and Assurance disciplines.
Strength at partnering across horizontals and verticals to rally and influence teams to execute at scale
Aptitude for self-study, setting and achieving long term goals (for example, learning an unfamiliar programming language)
Ability to effectively assess and communicate risks and appropriate levels of urgency to management and engineering staff
Excellent organizational, presentation, verbal, and written communication skill.

Must Have
Experience working in a large cloud or Fortune 100 organization with significant cloud native technology infrastructure, applications, and services.
Experience working in a Fortune 50 organization with significant hybrid- cloud and on premise- technology stacks that require nuance
Deep expertise in Chaos Security Engineering
Proficiency with one or more programming/scripting languages, preferably Go, Java, Python or C/C++
Ability to mentor, influence, and positively partner with Engineering leaders and experts across OCI and Oracle.
Experience navigating and working with extremely complex infrastructures, particularly hybrid cloud and on-premise is highly desirable
Experience taking Security, Safety, or Assurance technology and products to market, understanding the needs of diverse customers, and delivering transformative technology to those customers.
Extensive Knowledge of Security: to include common attack patterns , TTP's, and the broader security engineering stack

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
