Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable time period. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As an electrical engineer in the Progeny Systems EW business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing solutions for our US Navy customer on various programs/applications/projects deemed necessary to further EW excellance within the US Navy's submarine fleet.

Experience
- Demonstrated experience in performing systems engineering tasks specifically for PMS435 Submarine Electronic Warfare programs (AN/BLQ-10, EWTU, Early Warning Receiver (EWR), and MMM Payloads) including requirements definition, analysis, and management for Submarine Electronic Warfare systems.
- Extensive knowledge of the system architecture and operations of PMS435 Submarine Electronic Warfare systems, specifically AN/BLQ-10, EWTU, EWR, and MMM Payloads.
- Experience conducting System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) and providing installation support for PMS435 Submarine Electronic Warfare Systems.
- Experience developing Temporary Alteration (TEMPALT) packages for Submarine Electronic Warfare systems.
- Experience in managing engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Skills/Duties
- Performs functional and performance analysis, system design, trade studies, systems integration and testing (verification), validation, and interface definition for PMS435 Submarine Electronic Warfare systems under direct supervision.
- Researches and analyzes data related to vendor products, COTS components, and GFE/CFE to assess their feasibility for designs or applications for Submarine Electronic Warfare systems.
- Produces technical engineering products using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle, with a focus on Submarine Electronic Warfare systems.
- Performs integration & testing of hardware and software for PMS435 Submarine Electronic Warfare systems.
- Conducts thorough analysis and characterization of RF systems and components to validate performance against system performance specifications through the use of specialized RF test equipment including Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, etc.
- Develops software applications and scripts utilizing Python, MATLAB, C++, Java, or other programming languages to assist in automated testing and analysis.
- Develops comprehensive test plans, procedures, and detailed reports to guide and document testing activities.
- Actively participates in system design reviews, including Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Interim Design Review (IDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR), to ensure design integrity and compliance with requirements.
- Provides expert troubleshooting support for end users and delivers on-site field support to resolve system issues effectively.
