Job Title: IT Field Services Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking an IT Field Services Technician to provide on-site technical support and deployments for clients across a variety of IT environments. This role focuses on hands-on work with hardware, networks, and end-user systems while ensuring a high standard of service. The technician will troubleshoot, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure across small and medium-sized business clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.

  • Support Windows client and server environments (local and virtualized).

  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections.

  • Administer Microsoft 365 applications, including email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and cloud/on-prem integration.

  • Assist with basic VOIP systems, security appliances, and endpoint protection tools.

  • Document support activities and incidents using ticketing and tracking systems.

  • Provide on-site support within the assigned service region, including occasional after-hours rotations.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of client issues and maintain service standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on IT support experience; MSP experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 7, 10, 11) and Windows Server (2012–2022).

  • Experience with networking protocols, LAN/WAN/WLAN troubleshooting, and firewall/router configuration.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and hybrid environments.

  • Basic understanding of security tools and endpoint protection solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-service skills.

  • Reliable transportation for travel to client sites within the service area.

  • Nice to have: IT certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft credentials.

Work Environment & Location:

  • On-site role (~90%+ at client locations) within the regional service area.

  • Full-time position with standard business hours; occasional evening/weekend support on rotation.
