Description
We are looking for a dedicated Help Desk Analyst I to join our team on a contract basis in Mequon, Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive IT support to faculty, staff, and students within a higher education environment. You will assist with key projects, including system upgrades and office relocations, while delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
Deliver first-level IT support to university faculty, staff, and students, addressing technical issues promptly.
Assist in upgrading approximately 600 computers from Windows 10 to Windows 11, ensuring smooth transitions for all users.
Support office relocations for approximately 200 individuals, including computer setups and file transfers.
Respond to and manage IT-related support tickets, resolving user issues efficiently.
Provide basic training and guidance to faculty, staff, and student workers on IT systems and tools.
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless operations and address technical challenges.
Equip end-users with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Offer ad hoc assistance with general help desk responsibilities as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Proven experience with operating systems, including Windows (required) and Macintosh (preferred).
Familiarity with tools such as OneDrive, Office 365, and Zoom, as well as imaging software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for providing excellent customer service.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
Knowledge of Active Directory, computer hardware, and configuration management.
Experience with deployments and device setups, including Apple and Android technologies.
Capability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.
