Job Details

Reporting to the Finance Data Head, the Finance Data Change Management and Execution Practices Head is responsible for ensuring effective practices and standards are in place for all Finance data's programs and areas of change to ensure change management, appropriate level of execution and quality in delivery. The role is responsible for developing frameworks, enriching methodologies, creating outcome-based metrics and implementing tools to ensure goals of the Finance data teams are met around their delivery. The role defines the target state for how we complete delivery and execution of our data programs and helps to continuously grow our change management capabilities.

The Data Senior Manager manages multiple senior professionals through other senior managers assuring change is completed on time. The job requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of the strategic direction of Data within the firm, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences.

This role is primarily responsible for driving enterprise-wide adoption of a data governance discipline and culture that values information to support Citi's business strategies and is focused on improving data quality to fuel opportunity, innovation and business value. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the firm's Data strategy and ensuring compliance with enterprise-wide Data Governance Policy, standards and procedures .

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of change management, execution services and delivery for Security Services, including the development, refinement and ongoing evolution of the delivery frameworks, methodologies, tools, etc. - to enable Finance data
  • Provide assurance to senior stakeholders that delivery and change frameworks, methodologies, and tools are being leveraged across the product, technology and operations teams.
  • Provide leadership to ensure all solutions are developed in a front to back manner and that there is oversight on how to move towards a more data focused business model.
  • Lead a matrixed organization that drives delivery excellence and discipline in prioritization of programs that align to Finance Data Strategy
  • Work with key business and technology and operations stakeholders to eliminate delivery and execution obstacles to ensure change throughput is optimized.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to peers and program leaders in the implementation and adoption of frameworks, methodologies and tools.
  • On an on-going basis, identify opportunities to enhance existing frameworks, tools, methodologies and metrics.
  • Develop strategy and approach to expand use of frameworks, methodologies, and tools to expand the business services capability across the enterprise.
  • Develop the overall reporting, and escalation process for Finance Data and ensure standardization across product lines.
  • Drive and delivery a portfolio of work to ensure the organization's strategic use of data for the enterprise to perform more efficiently, boost productivity and better engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define, execute and champion a framework for governance of data across the organization, including the operating and accountability model.
  • Embed Data culture throughout the organization and role model the importance of Data Governance across the Enterprise
  • Collaborate with technology, risk management and other organizations across Citi to develop and implement data-driven solutions at scale.
  • Establish and implement practices that comply with data protection and privacy regulations
  • Communicate the value of data and its impact on the bank's business to stakeholders
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience overseeing and leading data change programs, relevant processes, data, technology and controls and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, metrics, communications, and efficiency.
  • Extensive leadership experience demonstrated through empowerment, situational awareness, increasing transparency and conflict resolution on large-scale programs and data transformation.
  • Extensive experience in managing highly visible, complex initiatives global data programs; Capable of prioritizing and leading multi-program portfolio in a largescale, distributed organization.
  • Extensive experience in demand management in a multiple disciplined program structure with ability to conduct predictive analytics on forecasting demand and reallocation of capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability leading the development of data program related analytics, models, dashboards, etc. to make data-driven decisions on digital program investments.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in finance data and supporting functions of upstream partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; Previous experience interacting and working with Executive Leaders
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and bring together the right team to solution them.
  • Data analytics and deep curiosity on data solution
  • Exceptional matrix management and influencing skills requiring strong collaboration with a collegial style.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with a strong focus on driving the digital transformation programs to new levels.
  • Ability to drive AGILE and Waterfall programs end to end and development of the determination of best delivery method to use.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance, including 10+ years' managerial experience and 5+ years in finance industry.
  • 10+ years in executive / strategy role
  • Deep knowledge of financial data, along with an understanding of regulatory, compliance, risk management and financial management concerns
  • Strong data governance and/or technological knowledge
  • Strong ability to perform extensive strategic leadership in delivering business value through vision, governance, and executive management
  • Strategic mindset, ability to plan ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
  • Manage through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • Communicates effectively; develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Experience leading an organization through significant change covering strategy, operations, process, structure, culture and behavior, ranging from operational change management to business-wide transformation.
  • Sound judgement with the ability to take a leadership position on all Data issues within Citi on all Data Strategy and Transformation related issues
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, passion for results and personal accountability for achievement
Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
