- Job Title: Service Support Analyst
- Location: Fayetteville, NC
- Job Type: Full-time, Onsite
- Job Function: Provide technical and support services in the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting end-users in the proper use of computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Preparing room layout and replacement\/setup of computer classrooms and open IT labs.
- Installing computer hardware and software; linking peripheral equipment and testing configuration.
- Analyzing, researching, and providing solutions to faculty and staff requests for information technology needs.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Working with Management Information Services (MIS) staff to determine and resolve problems.
- Performing major computer repairs.
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance of computer hardware.
- Downloading software patches, testing, and installing as necessary.
- Providing help desk support and daily administration, maintenance, and support of computers and peripherals.
- Coordinating vendor support and maintaining information about equipment and installation.
- Maintaining inventory of computer hardware, software, and supplies.
- Writing basic computer code and report generation programs.
- Evaluating new computer hardware and software for campus use.
- Providing training to end-users in the proper operation of computer equipment and applications.
- Required Skills:
- Superb problem-solving skills and experience in troubleshooting computers, peripherals, and software applications.
- Ability to effectively work with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret hardware and software manuals.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to resolve problems.
- Ability to recognize, research, and diagnose hardware and software problems and repair when possible.
- Ability to provide training in the use of computers, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Safe operation and care for tools, equipment, and materials used in the diagnosis and installation of computers and peripherals.
- Demonstrated expertise in Windows 10.
- Proficient in working with end-users remotely.
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Ability to provide assistance and instruction to faculty and staff on technical matters.
- Experience: One year of experience troubleshooting computers, peripherals, and software applications.
- Training: An Associate degree in computer technology, computer science, information technology or network communications technology, or equivalent.
