Job Description:
  • The Performance Test Engineer is responsible for designing and executing performance and API testing strategies for web and backend systems.
  • This role involves identifying performance bottlenecks, validating API functionality and scalability, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure optimal system performance.

Responsibilities or Duties:

  • Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies for web and backend systems.
  • Create and maintain performance test scripts using tools like JMeter and Load Runner.
  • Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify and resolve application performance bottlenecks.
  • Validate API functionality, scalability, performance, and security
  • Develop and execute API test cases and conduct load/stress testing for APIs.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to optimize performance.
  • Participate in requirement gathering to define performance benchmarks and criteria
  • Monitor system performance during testing and detect deviations.
  • Generate detailed test reports highlighting performance results and improvement areas.
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Skills:

  • Expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner.
  • Experience with API testing and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Ability to analyze test results and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Collaboration and communication skills to work across technical and business teams.
