Solugenix is assisting a client, a leading financial services company, in their search for a Timeshare Escrow Officer. This is a 3-month contract opportunity based out of San Marcos, CA (Onsite).

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Degree Required: Completed High School (Diploma or GED).
  • Customer service skills, detail-oriented, time management skills, able to manage a high volume of data and information.
  • Communication skills: verbal & written, teamwork skills, computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible to changing schedules and demands, thorough knowledge of escrow and title requirements based on transaction type, and state regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish escrow accounts and process transactions for vacation ownership properties in accordance with established policies and procedures for developers, brokers, and consumers in a high-volume, streamlined environment. 
  • Strong customer service skills are needed to handle calls and requests, answer questions, and gather and provide information to clients. 
  • Receive contracts from clients, review purchase agreements, set up accounts, and verify data.
  • Prepare conveyance documents, and record documents in multiple states. 
  • Create title insurance policies and distribute funds for each transaction. Prepare tax documents as may be required.
  • Prepare closing documents on all transactions, including those that may have unique features or complicated matters. 
  • Calculate title and escrow rates, including payoffs, and tax prorations as applicable, based on transaction type, state regulations, and divisional filed title manuals.
  • Proficient in escrow closings, fee calculations, and recording processes in multiple states. 
  • Review and understand contracts and purchase agreements to facilitate escrow closing, and create and/or interpret amendments and cancellation instructions.
  • Review and verify title search results and perform research to clear the title and provide basic solutions for curative action. 
  • Verify receipt of deposit(s) and closing funds, balance file ensuring accurate accounting of all funds, and disburse funds as per closing instructions, including preparing and sending wires.
  • Understand and follow the requirements of attorney or lender closing instructions when required. Perform quality checks on files.
  • Communicate any discrepancies per divisional procedures when applicable.
  • Work with customers and clients to address escalated customer service issues, including coordination of dispute resolutions, understanding the role as a neutral 3rd party, and working with the Arbiter when required.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $20/hour to $20/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
