Job Description

ECS is seeking a Data Visualization Storyteller to work remotely .

ECS is looking to hire a Data Analyst & Data Storyteller to join our Federal Practice in the DC area. This role goes beyond traditional data analysis - we are seeking someone who can transform complex data into clear, compelling narratives that drive decision-making at the executive level. You'll work closely with customers and stakeholders to develop meaningful insights, impactful data visualizations, and intuitive reporting that make data truly actionable.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of concrete and demonstrable metrics and measures of program outputs and outcomes
• Mine quantifiable metrics from interviews and written narratives from program stakeholders
• Develop and review program and project documentation
• Support efforts to improve access to data and reporting tools through improved and standardized customer experience (CX) design
• Provide support for agile practices and ceremonies
• Support project management planning and task execution
• Provide analysis and solution recommendations for continual process improvement, data organization and integrity, security compliance, and assessments for new technologies
• Develop processes for data analysis inclusion in new project planning
• Craft compelling data-driven stories and executive-level briefings that highlight trends, outcomes, and opportunities
• Design and build interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like PowerBI or Tableau to communicate key insights
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify the right data questions and deliver intuitive visual narratives that help answer them

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000

Required Skills

• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain government security clearance (Public Trust/Sensitive)
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of experience in a relevant field
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization
• Demonstrated experience in data storytelling and translating insights into business impact

Desired Skills

• Strong requirement elicitation, analysis, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across workstreams with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Skilled in developing collaborative relationships and operating with minimal supervision
• Proficient in consolidating data from numerous sources to create compelling presentations for leadership
• Strong proficiency with PowerBI , Tableau, or similar tools for dashboard development and data visualization
