The MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's MV-75 FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. The MV-75 program is utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology to expand the United States Army's tactical advantage in future conflicts. The Bell MV-75 team seeks the top engineering talents from around the industry to design, develop, and deliver the world's next-generation military aircraft.

FLRAA Lead Software Engineer - Software Tools and Processes
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead and oversee the process of utilizing tools for aerospace software development.
This individual will be responsible for setting strategic direction for tool development and ensuring their effective application in aircraft certification programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the process of utilizing Simulink and model-based design tools for aerospace software development, ensuring alignment with project goals and certification requirements.
Define and set the strategic direction for the development and enhancement of software tools and methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for tool usage and integration into the software development lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement in tool usage and development processes.
Ensure compliance with aerospace software development standards, such as DO-178C or equivalent, throughout the development lifecycle.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software processes, tool usage, and verification activities.
Apply expertise in C and C++ coding to support software development, debugging, and optimization efforts.
Skills You Bring To this Role:
Strong knowledge of software verification processes, requirements development, and traceability.
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
Understanding of aircraft systems and avionics.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
What you need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
At least 10 years of experience in aerospace software development, with a focus on Simulink and model-based design.
Proven experience in leading the process of tool utilization and development for aircraft certification programs.
Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages, with experience in embedded systems and real-time software development.
Familiarity with industry standards such as DO-178C, ARP4754A, or similar is preferred.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and related toolchains, with a focus on driving tool innovation and efficiency. Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and simulation environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, verification, and requirements management, with expertise in C and C++ coding as well as Simulink and model-based design, and a focus on driving innovation and efficiency in tool usage.
