Job Details

Job Title: Workday Advanced Scheduling & Labor Optimization Functional Lead

Duration: Long Term Contract

Location: 100% Remote

Allocation: 50% allocation (20 hours per week)

Must Haves:

  • Labor optimization certification
  • Advanced scheduling certification


Job summary:

  • Lead the functional design and configuration of the Workday Advanced Scheduling module.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Workday scheduling solutions.
  • Configure scheduling rules, patterns, shift templates, and compliance settings to meet workforce needs.
  • Ensure integration with Time Tracking, Absence Management, Payroll, and other related modules.
  • Partner with technical teams on integrations and data migration.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices and industry standards in workforce scheduling.
  • Develop and execute test plans, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Deliver training and support change management efforts for end-users and administrators.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for ongoing scheduling enhancements and issue resolution post-go-live.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Workday experience, with at least 2 years in Advanced Scheduling or Workforce Management.
  • Proven track record of leading Workday implementations or enhancements, particularly in Scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of compliance rules, labor laws, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Workday certification in Advanced Scheduling, Time Tracking, or related modules is strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Experience in healthcare, retail, manufacturing, or other shift-based industries.
  • Familiarity with union agreements and complex labor scheduling rules.
  • Agile project management experience.
