Job Title: Cloud Application Architect (Java)
Location: Austin, Texas - 78751 (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Experience: 10+ Years

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Application Architect (java) to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership, work hands-on with development teams, and ensure scalability, security, and performance across distributed systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years of strong hands-on experience with Java EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices
Extensive experience with AWS or Google Cloud
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes
Strong expertise in REST & GraphQL API design
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / Ansible
Solid understanding of cloud security best practices
Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Event-driven architectures using Kafka / RabbitMQ
Exposure to serverless and cloud-native services
Strong experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

Preferred Skills:

Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
Performance tuning & high-availability architecture
Cloud cost optimization experience
Healthcare domain experience
Strong consulting, communication, and leadership skills
Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with Texas or other state eligibility systems
