The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides expertise to programs in Networking and High-Performance Computing. We are seeking a Junior Network Administrator (entry-level) to join our team in Forest, MS. In this role, you will bring a basic level knowledge of Cisco devices and commands to support multiple, air-gapped Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).

The salary range for this role is 49,000 USD - 95,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. We are seeking a Junior Network Administrator (entry-level) to join our team in Forest, MS. In this role, you will bring a basic level knowledge of Cisco devices and commands to support multiple, air-gapped Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
What You Will Do:
- Review Technical Security Controls with more senior networking professionals and apply to network configurations
- Install network hardware as part of tech refreshes
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as network and rack diagrams.
What you will Learn:
- You will apply your Network Engineering skills to defense-oriented programs.
- You will obtain Certifications in Security+ within 6 months and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within a year. Raytheon will provide training to achieve this.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University/bachelor's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience, or in lieu of degree, typically will consider 4 years of relevant Network or IT Systems Administration experience.
- Experience or knowledge with Networking equipment such as Cisco (or other product) routers, switches, firewalls, and/or intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications
- Associate-level Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA)
- Able to effectively and respectfully collaborate with across functions, to include other Digital disciplines, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Engineering, and Program Management
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation such as network diagrams
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance
