Lead Full Stack Developer

Location: Harttford, CT

Overview:

Join our team at the Department of Children and Families (DCF) where you'll be pivotal in supporting and enhancing critical applications like LINK and IV-E, essential for child welfare services in Connecticut. As we evolve towards the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS), your expertise will drive our mission of improving child safety, permanency, and well-being. We're seeking a proactive, self-directed Lead Full Stack Developer to play a central role in the development and maintenance of .NET applications, particularly focusing on SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and service-oriented architecture (SOA) integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design specifications for complex systems.
  • Design and implement database architecture and data models.
  • Create and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Design and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion and cleansing.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and users to validate requirements.
  • Integrate external data with in-house systems.
  • Design and implement data conversion strategies.
  • Develop and optimize SSIS packages for efficient data loading.
  • Design and develop reports using SSRS.
  • Utilize version control tools like Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in application analysis and design.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS; familiarity with Power BI, SSAS is a plus.
  • Experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of version control tools and enterprise data integration technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and meet deadlines.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SSIS connectors like Kingsway Soft or Kozyrev.
  • Familiarity with DB2, Dynamics, Salesforce.

General Requirements:

  • Able to work in the office 2 days every 2 weeks or 1 day per week.
