Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer to support the development, automation, and operations of enterprise AI platforms and infrastructure. This role will play a critical part in enabling scalable and secure AI capabilities across the organization, working with technologies such as Dataiku, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and more. This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential to convert to a full-time position.


Key Responsibilities

AI Platform Engineering & Operations

  • Engineer, maintain, and operate AI platforms including Dataiku, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Textract, Comprehend, and A2I.
  • Automate and manage deployments, upgrades, and scaling of AI tools.
  • Administer enterprise use of LLM APIs, managing API key provisioning, access controls, rate limits, and usage monitoring.
  • Provide technical support for incidents, performance optimization, and user onboarding.

AWS Infrastructure & Automation

  • Design and manage AWS-based infrastructure (EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, SSM, VPC, etc.) to support AI and data platforms.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
  • Monitor and optimize performance and cost of AWS-hosted services.

Cross-Platform Support

  • Collaborate with engineering teams supporting data ingestion, transformation, and intelligence platforms to ensure alignment and integration.
  • Contribute to enterprise-level plans for disaster recovery, high availability, performance SLAs, and DevOps automation.

Security & Governance

  • Apply secure configurations, RBAC, audit logging, and encryption standards across platforms.
  • Work closely with Security and Governance teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with Data Science, Analytics, DevOps, and Architecture teams to support innovative AI use cases.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and services to enhance platform resiliency and maturity.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in platform or data engineering, with a strong focus on AI/ML platforms and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Dataiku setup, deployment, and administration
    • AWS AI/ML services: Bedrock, Textract, Comprehend, A2I
    • OpenAI API integration and security management
    • AWS infrastructure: EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, Lambda, VPCs, SSM
    • Infrastructure-as-Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation
    • Scripting in Python or Bash
    • Kubernetes (EKS) and enterprise observability (CloudWatch, Prometheus)
  • Understanding of DR/HA architecture, platform governance, and TCO/cost transparency
