Our challenge
We are seeking a skilled WebLogic Engineer to support, configure, and optimize Oracle WebLogic Server environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing WebLogic in complex enterprise setups, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA. is $100k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server environments.
- Monitor WebLogic performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Manage WebLogic clusters, domains, and JVM tuning for optimal performance.
- Implement disaster recovery, backup, and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams for deployment and troubleshooting.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts and configuration management tools.
- Ensure security best practices are followed for WebLogic environments.
- Perform upgrades and patch management on WebLogic servers.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Oracle WebLogic Server administration.
- Strong understanding of Java EE architecture and middleware.
- Experience with WebLogic clustering, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix server administration.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Hands-on experience with deployment tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of networking, SSL, and security configurations.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
