Java Lead

Location: Seattle, WA - Hybrid and Local ONLY

1 ONSITE INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED!!

Java 8+, Spring Boot, Containers, Cloud, Automated testing, Agile, lead roles

Job Duties -

* Be an active participant in all scrum ceremonies and lead in the delivery of the strategic roadmap.

* Help define project scope & specifications, and estimate resources required to develop the proposed solution.

* Ensure that specifications and requirements are clearly articulated to the development teams and monitor timelines & progress.

* Propose technical solutions.

* Delivery of well-designed, high-quality, fully functional, properly tested features, fixes, and enhancements.

* Responsible for the full application development lifecycle and support.

* Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.

* Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

* Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance.

* Provide subject matter expertise and direction, guidance, and support on complex engagements."

Job Requirements -

7+ years experience with Java 8+

5+ years experience with Spring Boot

4+ years experience with Containers (Docker and orchestration, ie: Kubernetes or EKS)

4+ years experience with Azure or AWS

Strong understanding of microservices and HTTP/REST

4+ years experience with test automation (jbehave, cucumber, selenium, junit)

4+ years experience in an Agile/Scrum team (backlog refinement, standups, code reviews, JIRA or ADO etc.)

2+ years in lead roles

Desired Skills & Experience -

Streaming/messaging: Kafka, NATS, Kinesis, or Event Hub are strongly desired

Datadog or New Relic a plus

Elastic Search a plus

Apigee a plus
